I can only hope by now that my words have struck a chord in your heart. Yes, God does have a Son. And yes, this Son of God has a beginning, yet no ending because He is the first begotten of God. Who among us deserves to be one with God's only begotten Son? Without believing God has a Son, I don't understand how anyone can be one in the Son. A great falling away has deceived the whole earth. They have men confessing their sins to a man named "father" instead of God. It's blasphemy and who calls it out? Do you?
[Rom 4:16] Therefore [it is] of faith, that [it might be] by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all.
[Rom 4:12-13] And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which [he had] being [yet] uncircumcised. For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, [was] not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
[Gal 3:14] That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Joshua Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Faith is not just believing in what we see with our eyes, but trusting in the unseen promises of God. The faith of Abraham was a faith that saw beyond what the physical world showed him. At almost 100 years old, with Sarah's womb barren, the promise of a son seemed impossible, yet Abraham believed God's word. This is the very essence of faith: seeing what is not as though it is, because God has declared it so.
[Heb 11:1] Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Abraham lived his life by faith, even when it appeared that God's promises were delayed or impossible. He did not waver, for his faith was rooted in the knowledge that what God had promised, He was able to perform. This is the kind of faith we are called to live by: a faith that does not look at our present circumstances, but instead holds onto the promises of God.
[Rom 4:18-21] Who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, 'So shall your descendants be.' And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
We, too, are called to live by faith. Though the world may tell us otherwise, we believe in the promises of God. We trust in what is unseen, knowing that God’s word is true. Faith is not merely a mental exercise; it is the way we walk. We do not live by sight, but by faith. Faith means speaking God's promises over our lives, even when we don’t see the fulfillment yet. Faith is the foundation upon which we build our relationship with God, for without faith, it is impossible to please Him.
[Heb 11:6] But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Abraham's faith also teaches us the importance of obedience. Faith isn't just believing; it is acting on that belief. When God told Abraham to leave his home and go to a land that He would show him, Abraham obeyed without knowing where he was going. This is the model of faith we must follow. We act on God’s word, trusting that He will guide us every step of the way.
[Heb 11:8-10] By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith, he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Just like Abraham, we are called to live by faith. Faith is more than words; it is our response to the voice of God. When He calls us to act, we step out in faith, trusting that He will fulfill His promises, even when the path ahead is uncertain. Let us, like Abraham, walk in the steps of faith, knowing that God’s promises are sure and His word never fails.
[Gen 22:16-18] By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son—blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.
Faith is trusting in the promise, acting on God’s word, and living as though the fulfillment is already here. Abraham’s life is a testament to what it means to live by faith, and through his example, we are reminded to hold fast to the promises of God, knowing that He who promised is faithful.
[Gen 15:6] And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.
